Car Parking
For new members and on payment of the annual subscription those members whose membership category qualifies them for a car parking sticker will be provided with ONE car-parking sticker for the benefit of free parking which must be clearly displayed on the car in the members car parking area. Please only use the pay and display area when the members area is full.
If you have more than one vehicle which you use to visit the club then the car park sticker needs to be switched between vehicles so it is best not to stick it to a windscreen but put in some form of transparent wallet and display it on the dashboard of whichever car is being used at the time.
It is the members responsibility to ensure they display a sticker for free parking. The pay and display tickets are only for guests and visiting teams.
Click here to read the notice issued by the Sports Club management .
Please note that that the car parking sticker is only for free parking whilst using the club facilities or representing the club elsewhere and not for leaving your vehicle there whilst working in or visiting the town etc.
If a member loses his/her car parking sticker then notify the Membership Secretary.

There are instructions at the court on how to use the kiosk and new members will be issued with a user id and password to use the online booking system via this website click here to view - please change the password to something more suitable to yourself when first you use the system.
To book a court your account must first be in credit to the full value of the court time you wish to book.
You can make credits to your account either by using your key fob to sign on to your account at the kiosk and feeding coins or by giving the Squash Chairmen or Membership Secretary a cheque and they will update your account.
If you have booked the court then to commence play your opponent must apply his/her key fob at the court door in order to switch on the court lights and transfer half the court fee from his/her account to your account, which means that you opponent must also be in credit to this amount in order for the transfer to be effected.
If you have booked the court and you also apply your key fob at the court door then the system will assume that your opponent is a visitor and will apply the visitors fee to your account which means that your account must also be in credit to this amount.
If you wish to cancel a court you will be credited the full booking fee, if this is done more than 48 hours before the court time and date and the court is booked by someone else, otherwise you will receive a refund of half the booking fee. If it is less than 48 hours you will receive a full refund if someone else books the court, otherwise there is no refund.
Only THREE courts may be booked in peak times unless the committee authorises otherwise, in which event this will be published on the Notice Board.

Squash shoes are the only permissible footwear allowed on court. Black or multi coloured sole general trainers are not permitted on court. Members are responsible for their (and their quests) compliance. Any dispute please contact a committee member.
A court not in use 10 minutes after the booked starting time is free for use by any member.
A court becomes immediately free for use at the end of the booked finishing time.
The club has two main annual competitions, which all playing members may enter.
In spring, the Noel Felton Handicap rounds culminating in a Finals Night in mid May.
In late autumn the Club Championships, culminating in a finals night in December.
During the winter season we usually run two teams in the Midland and Worcester Leagues. If you are interested in playing team squash then you will need to make contact with the Club Captain, details of which can be found on the notice board. Those who represent the club in these events must also be active Club Leagues players .
These take place on Wednesday mornings and Saturday afternoon, just turn up, whatever your standard and get a game, on a round robin basis, with anyone who is there. Court time free just pay for the lights .
Non Members are welcome to attend these sessions but would be expected to join the club where there is frequent use of the facility.
Ali Aziz an Ex World Masters Champion provide individual or group coaching. There are regular junior coaching sessions on Saturday mornings – cost £2.00.
Playing members may play with a non-member but during off peak playing hours only and at the additional fee.
These are run on a monthly cycle, with 5/6 players per league, with new leagues being formed at the beginning of every month, with promotions and relegations based on the previous month’s results.
Only full members may play in the leagues as it is expected that league games are primarily played in the peak period with the occasional game being played off peak. Off Peak leagues will be available for those who prefer to play primarily in off peak periods or are not full members.
Under 18s/FTE’s are allowed to play in the leagues at the discretion of the squash committee .
New leagues will be placed on the squash website Click here to view the latest leagues, and a paper copy will be placed on the notice board for completion of the match scores together with an instruction sheet for players to indicate their future intent.
A new player wishing to join the leagues will need to include their name on the instruction sheet after ascertaining from a member of the committee the most suitable league to join.
Points awarded for league games are as follows:
One point is awarded for playing the match.
One point is awarded for each game won.
One point is awarded to the match winner.
E.g. if the result was 3–0 the score would be recorded as 5–1, or if the result was 3-2 then the score would be recorded as 5-3
Members completing all their league games will be awarded 5 bonus points - anyone who has not played all their games or has a zero score in a match is not entitled to bonus points.
A member offering two games on booked courts, which are not reciprocated by the end of the month, scores 5-0 and counts the game as played for claiming the bonus points, but to avoid dispute it would be preferable if both parties agreed to this score line before the end of the month.
Where a court is booked and one player does not turn out then, unless an alternative date is arranged, the player who did turn out also scores 5-0 and counts the game in the bonus point claim.
If a player has completed all the scheduled matches but wishes to withdraw from the forthcoming league then this should be indicated on the instruction sheet, stating whether if it is permanent or giving a date of intent to return to the leagues.
If a player wishes to withdraw from the league not having played all their matches then they should cross their name out in the league and then this should be indicated on the instruction sheet, stating whether if it is permanent or giving a date of intent to return to the leagues - all games played so far by that member will not count and bonus points will based on the reduced league.
Matches played but not completed shall either:
At the second session, start at the score of completed games after the first session.
Or,
If the scores after the first session are two games all, the second session should be played the best of three games for deciding the match.
Or,
If it is not possible to play a second session, then each player scores the number of points won plus one point for game played.
If two or more members in a league have scored the same overall total then the scores are reworked in a ‘mini- league’ containing just those members and if there is still no way to distinguish a result then it will be taken as the order in the league in which those members commenced the month.
In each league, the winner will go up two leagues, the second placed will go up one league, the bottom but one placed will go down one league and the bottom placed will go down two league, however in the top leagues the bottom placed in the first league will swap with the first placed in league 3 and the top two placed in league 2 will swap with the third and fourth placed in league 1.
Any player who has not played any games during the month, without explanation, will be omitted from the next month’s leagues unless they request otherwise on the instruction sheet.
No player can join or re join the leagues above the fourth division.
Where a player is due to return to the leagues after having withdrawn, they will be re-entered two leagues below where they left irrespective of their score and position. The return of players to the leagues does mean that there are occasions when other players may not advance up the leagues, as they would be expecting.
