Monday 11th January 2010 Dear Members, I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year but we start 2010 with a request for your HELP! After many years of dedication and hard work controlling the squash clubs finances and overseeing the enormous financial task of rebuilding the courts following the flooding in 1998 and 2007, Lionel Stanley, our Treasurer has decided to stand down. The reason the club is in such a strong financial position is because of the positive decision making and control that Lionel has shown in all the years as Treasure. He will be a very hard act to follow, but follow him someone must! Needless to say, the post of Treasure at any club is one that you cannot do without and it is extremely important to fill the position as soon as possible. I am asking you to consider giving 3 to 4 hours of your valuable time each month to ensure the squash section continues to operate effectively on behalf on it's members. Lionel has agreed to continue until the AGM which is on 10th March 2010, so if anyone is interested there is plenty of time to get acquainted with operation of the squash section and transfer of responsibilities. Please contact me to discuss any details or ask any questions you may have. I cannot stress too strongly how important the role of Treasure is and how difficult it will be to run the squash section if the post is not filled.

AGM. 10th March 2010 7.30pm in the Clubhouse. This is going to be a special night. Come along to offer your support and thanks to a long serving committee member who is finally calling it a day.
